Where did I lose it?

Posted on June 26, 2012 at 8:10 AM Comments comments (0)

You know,

God has given me so many gifts, and I am so grateful. But sometimes it can be very difficult to reach out and help others have a better life. I have many ministries and several businesses, however, lately I found myself getting really discouraged by the lack of feedback I was getting from those I am connected to. I found myself slowing down, and then eventually I stopped. I started to wonder if I could even go on. Well, I realized that I wa...

Make your own vitamin water. Add fruits instead of sugar for a natural sweetener for your H20. Cut the fruit into paper-thin slices or small chunks. Combine ingredients with water. Refrigerate 4-6 hours and serve over ice. So delicious and very refreshing!

Happy Father's Day

It was a very nice Father's Day, I was blessed to have my husband at church with me along with my son and daughter. We came home and chilled out for a little bit. I cooked a very nice diinner which consisted of lemon chicken over rice, in which I prepared with freshly squeezed lemon juice, freshly cooked cabbage, mashed potatoes, honey cornbread, mixed vegetables, with an ice cold Cherry Coke on the side. In my eyes, he deserves to wear the title of "father" and "husband", ...

Makes a soft behind! About a week ago, I took upon myself to get a job. Yes you read it right, me...employment...clocking in out for a paycheck! We needed some extra finances and I got a little nervous about our finances, and told my husband I wanted to work and help out. Well, the job was production, this company creates tv dinners for big corporations like Walmart. Well the first day I was placing boxing over product going down this conveyor belt at a steady pace...OMGoodness...

Incomplete Projects

Posted on May 23, 2012 at 11:35 PM Comments comments (0)

Tonight, I was on Facebook and trying to work on a blanket that I started crocheting over a year ago. I got a little frustrated and posted on my page stating how long I've been working on it, and why was it taking me so long. And then after I joked about it, I really had to think about it. This is not the only project I've started and have not finished. All of which, except one, I don't have a legitimate reason why they are not completed. I could blame people or situations to m...

Doctor vs. Herbalist

Posted on May 7, 2012 at 10:50 PM Comments comments (0)

I have a Baker's Cyst behind my right knee. I've had it for some years now, but never knew what it was until about a month or so ago. I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound on my leg and knee, and that's how I found out what it was. They said it's almost the size of a golf ball. Lately, it has really been bothering me. The doctor said when I was at my last appointment is that he could take a needle and drain it. In my mind I was like,  "What? A needle? Did he just...

Life Changes

Posted on May 4, 2012 at 6:55 PM Comments comments (0)

Today, I recieved a call from my doctor's office because of the blood work I had done on yesterday. My cholesterol is a little bit higher than it should be, and the nurse is going to send me a paper instructing me on how to pursue a low cholesterol diet. Also, it showed that I am in menopause. The chemotherapy took my menstrual cycle, and now I have to learn how to live with this drastic new change in my life. This is not easy, but if God brought me to it, I will get through it...

I'm Giving Back

Today,  I started my training at the Regional Cancer Center as a volunteer. It felt really good to help out. I was trained by this older lady name Dee, she was really nice. She showed me how to stock the coffee and tea stations. I also got a chance to offer the patients fruit and crackers. It was special to me because I was able to relate to what they were going through while taking thier chemotherapy. It's like I knew what to say, I was not nervous and I had a smile on my...

Skincare Consultation

Posted on March 12, 2012 at 10:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Tonight was simply amazing. I was priviledged to speak with a woman of God about some major problems with eczema. It all began when her friend sent me a picture of the severe condition of her skin. Almost immediately the Lord started to give me instructions to give her about her situation. In the past, I used to think that a beauty consultant was one who gives you different creams or make-up to help you cover those imperfections. But I feel that He is raising me up to help peop...
